DragonCon and PBEM games

It's nearly time for DragonCon again, the huge convention in Atlanta with everything from SciFi to comics to gaming. This year the PBEM (and simming) community will be represented!

A group of people are hosting a panel discussion on Star Trek and online simming.

"Star Trek fans looking for a creative outlet for fan fiction and role-playing will enjoy this discussion by veteran role-players about the electronic world of online simming."

It will be held at the Sheraton in Atlanta. It is part of the Trektrak and will take place in the Savannah room at 5:30 pm on friday 29th.

Sadly, I will not be able to attend this year. But I am sure Chas and the gang will not only provide information about IRC games, but also present you will interesting information about PBEM gaming.

Changes are coming...

To prepare for coming changes to the website, I have updated the way the PBEM links are displayed. You will soon be able to create your own account here and submit links and articles to the website!

Until that is ready, if you have a link to a PBEM website you would like to see in PBEMPlayers.com, please send it to me using the Contact Form.

Coming up: SciWorld 2008!

It is almost time for the number one event for all of us online PBEM roleplayers out there: the SciWorld Online Convention!

Last year was a lot of fun and I hope this year will be even better! Looking at the schedule, it looks like there are a couple of interesting seminars I will attend. What I especially have my eyes on right now are the chats scheduled for the third day: "Second Life" and "Why We Sim".

Anyway, SciWorld is taking place online in a chatroom during three nights - Tusday, Wednesday and Thursday (April 29th - May 1st). Please check out www.sciworldonline.com for more info as well as the location of the chat rooms.
