Empire Diplomacy

Welcome to Empire Diplomacy. A universe of might and magic, political intrigue and secret enemies. Where dragons soar, races struggle for dominance, life sustaining trade agreements are made and alliances forged.

Economics, military, magic and political standings with the other countries are just a few of the things that will determine how you mold your country.  The present campaign is set in the ICEMARCH universe which is made up of many worlds interconnected via portals.
Here the bulk of the humanoid races have been banished. Nations and empires are poised for greatness waiting only to be created...

This is an extremely well coded game with fantastic GM support which gives plenty of detail and depth without meaning slow turnaround - importantly it has been going for many many years and shows no sign of stopping!
The basic premise is that you control a nation made up of various size settlements on one of a number of worlds - all maps are nicely done and available online so you can actually see where you are moving, your world and your enemies (as and when they turn up!). You can choose from a number of races, governments and starting positions/buildings/strength/weaknesses etc. before setting out on your chosen path be it military conquest or research and development amongst many others.
Players can get involved in almost anything from warfare and covert agents to economic development, trade and a well run player marketplace as well as the normal spell and technology research. Rule development and improvements are constant which gives great flexibility to the game and it allows for every style of gaming you like whether you like to turtle up and build a nice peaceful nation, run a nation of deadly assassin spies or the well loved military dictator route or something else entirely! There are multiple worlds, each with its own advantages and disadvantages and plenty of opportunity for conflict without losing your entire nation.

Empire Diplomacy is an in depth and highly addictive game. The premise is that you run a country, you have the opportunity to develop that country economically, militarily or both. You can advance by researching technologies and of course magic as well, in addition resources can be traded on an open market, or by private agreement. The layers and complexity of this game make it a real challenge, but a lot of fun. Additionally this game is made up of several worlds, each with their own particular characteristics and resources, so you cannot afford to sit back on 1 world. This is a turn based game, with each turning lasting about a week, so you need to be constantly engaged.
The community is highly supportive and the GM's are very responsive to questions and are very helpful. There is an excellent forum, and the opportunity to get involved in developing and improving the game - in fact feedback and suggestions are highly encouraged.
I rate this game highly, as I said it is highly addictive, so you have been warned, see you in the game.
