Can I harm/kill another player's character?

It would so fit my post to kill off another character. Besides, I never liked it anway! Can I kill it or at least harm it?

Unless you have permission from both the player and the Game Master you should not do anything to someome else's character that changes it beyond how the owner intended it.

I don't think that asking the Game Master is really critical.  The element of surprise is good for the GM.  However, the player absolutley must be asked!
