PBEM Experience
I've had a bad experience with PBEM before in a forum based game. The DM did not know the rules very well, and I lost interest because I had to teach him while online. Also, I have little time that I can coordinate in chat-based encounters.
I've played and DM'ed in D&D 3.5 and in Pathfinder for over ten years.
